Rule, Find, Bring, Bind

Rule 1: We request that nothing be posted on social media until after the wedding is fully over.

Rule 2: Hobbiton requires that guests be sober upon arrival and coherent when they leave, so please keep that in mind if you decide to partake in merrymaking.

Rule 3: Please don't break anything in Hobbiton—this probably goes without saying, but we really don't want the venue getting upset with us & having to pay for damages.

Dress code! Hobbiton requires that the guests wear sensible walking shoes. Obviously, we also ask that you avoid wearing white or red (including off-white and orange-almost-red), since those are both considered culturally significant—that's the bride's color!

Outside of that, we encourage you to wear your Middle-Earth best! Calling forth the elves, hobbits, and adventurers within you—anything that would look at home at a ren faire would suit our wedding. If that's not really your style, semi-formal (tea-length or longer dresses, a collared shirt with slacks) is great!

It has come to our attention that people may want to give us gifts. First off, thank you! However, we don't have a registry—instead, we would love to begin saving up for our future.

If you are so inclined, there is a link below. Additionally, the ceremony will have a place for any cards or small gifts that you would like to bring! (Please keep in mind that we will need to fly these home with us <3)

Wedding Day

First, the wedding in Hobbiton will be adults only. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Second, the ceremony will be "unplugged"—no pictures, no recordings, nothing. We'd like guests to live in the moment! More importantly, we don't want anyone's hands or phones getting in the way of our hired photographer/videographer. We will be asking you to turn your phones fully off during the ceremony and there will be spot to place them.

Finally, if there are any issues on the day of the wedding, please don't come to us for solutions. Frankly, we won't know what to do, either! Instead, please ask members of our wedding party or the celebrant for help. (See Meet the Fellowship for what they look like & their names.)
